Student Success Advisor

Vera Academy of Dance & Gymnastics is seeking a part-time Student Success Advisor. This position works with administrators and instructors to teach character development and leadership to youth and adults in our academy’s programs. The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills, is confident working with clients both in person and on the phone, enjoys interacting with community members, and is self-motivated and enjoys working with a team.

Student Success Advisors provide high quality customer service to students and their families, offer important administrative support to instructors, and help coach potential students through the enrollment process.
​
Additional responsibilities include:

Maintaining regular communication with students via email, text, and phone
-
Answering the studio phone, voicemails, and returning calls
-
Keeping the studio database updated for both students and prospects
-
Maintaining the studio’s daily schedule and tracking prospects
-
Greeting prospects and students and providing assistance as necessary
-
Doing enrollment conferences with prospects and enrolling new students
-
Providing administrative support for special events and performances
-
Serving as the front-facing social hub at the studio

Completing administrative/office tasks to keep studio running smoothly

Ability to work as an effective team member so you can help manage academy programs and execute special events

Starting Pay Rate: $14-$19/hour
Candidates must be available Mon-Thu afternoons/evenings from 3:45-8:30p and periodic Friday, Saturday, and Sunday hours for special events.

Part-Time Dance Instructor
Vera Academy of Dance & Gymnastics is seeking a part-time dance instructor. Instructors at Vera Academy teach the art of dance along with character development and leadership skills to students of all ages from youth to adults. The ideal candidate will have strong skills and significant experience in teaching several dance styles including but not limited to ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pom & cheer. Other experience would include choreographing and staging performances, creating lesson plans appropriate for different skill levels/ages, and facilitating a safe and positive classroom environment. Candidates must be comfortable with and enjoy teaching a wide range of ages and skill levels from very young children to adults.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to be an effective mentor and coach and have the ability to prepare clear student evaluations

Work as an effective team member staging studio productions, executing special events, and attend regular staff training and meetings
Vera Academy incorporates character development and leadership training into all of their dance and gymnastics programs. The ideal candidate should be passionate about how dance training will help students develop discipline and confidence, learn to set and achieve goals, and practice positive leadership skills.
Teaching schedule may include Monday-Friday afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings/afternoons depending on availability. As part of the interview process, candidates may be asked to provide examples of past choreography and may be invited to teach as a guest instructor.

Vera Academy of Dance & Gymnastics is seeking a part-time acro/gymnastics instructor. Instructors at Vera Academy teach the art of acro/gymnastics along with character development and leadership skills to students of all ages from youth to adults. The ideal candidate will have strong skills and significant experience in teaching and spotting acro/gymnastics floor skills. Other beneficial experiences would include choreographing and staging performances, creating lesson plans appropriate for different skill levels/ages, and facilitating a safe and positive classroom environment. Candidates must be comfortable with and enjoy teaching a wide range of ages and skill levels from very young children to adults.
