Summer Information & Guidelines

Attendance and Student Conduct

Attendance is very important for the success of the student and of the class. Classes start at a scheduled time and promptness is expected. Students coming in late cause too much distraction, delay, and will not be properly warmed-up for class. Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. The studio cannot jeopardize its responsibilities to the rest of the class for one student so please make an effort to attend every class. Please contact the studio as soon as possible if a student must miss a class due to illness or family obligation.

No food, gum, or drink is allowed in the studios. A lounge area is provided for food and drink outside of class time. Please show respect for your instructors, fellow dancers, and all Sisu equipment by cleaning up after yourself when using the studio, lounge, bathrooms, and changing areas. Please make sure you arrive on time for your class, are in proper attire, and are ready to learn with a positive attitude.  If a student acts in a manner that creates an unsafe learning environment, that student will be dismissed immediately. No refund will be given if a student is asked to leave class or the studio due to misconduct. Absolutely no cell phones allowed in the studio at any time.

Parking

The main entrance to the studio is behind the building.  For safety reasons there is no parking in front of the glass entrance door in the back of the studio. Parking is available in the front of the studio, but the front door is not to be used as an exit or entrance.

Performance Teams

Being on a Performance Team provides an exciting period of growth and challenge for dancers, building a strong, positive desire to enhance existing dance skills. Our focus is on training and team building skills which will allow dancers to remain highly competitive. Please inquire at the studio for more information.

Technique Solo/Private Lessons

We offer students the opportunity to further their individual needs in dance or gymnastics with a one on one lesson with an instructor. This includes four 30-minute classes during 1 session where we work solely on the individual student's needs. Any student has the option of registering for a private lesson, but it is on a first come, first serve basis. Please make your day and time requests on the registration form and we will try to accommodate them. Once confirmed, it is the student's responsibility to notify the instructor of an absence in advance.  There are no make-ups for missed lessons. However, if the student will be absent, they can switch the lesson time with another student with the instructor’s approval.

Tuition

Summer dance and gymnastics tuition is based on a two-week session with four days per session and it is due on or before the first day of each session. Returned checks will result in a $30 charge followed by payment in cash. Outstanding tuition may result in the temporary suspension of your child until the account is current. We do not want to deny any student the opportunity to do dance or gymnastics. If needed, please call the studio to arrange an alternative payment plan.
